The Great American Cleanup continues with daily cleanup and beautification activities. We are especially in need of volunteers to pickup litter.

Keep Alachua County Beautiful: 1001 NW 5th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601 is open Mondays and Thursdays, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., and by appointment if those hours don't work for you.
Supplies for litter pickup, planting, and painting projects are available at no cost. Grabber sticks, gloves, safety vests, hand sanitizer, masks, trash bags, and first-aid kits are included.

Neighborhood Cleanup with Keep Alachua County Beautiful
Historic Pleasant Street Neighborhood Cleanup

Join Keep Alachua County Beautiful (KACB) and members of the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Association for a community litter cleanup in this historic neighborhood.

Event Details:
· Date & Time: Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
o Food will be provided from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
· Meeting Location & Parking: Pleasant Park
o Street parking available
o Cleanup maps will be provided on the day of the event
· Supplies: KACB will provide all cleanup materials
· Volunteer Requirements: Mandatory — volunteers must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes
This event brings together residents and volunteers to support neighborhood pride and environmental stewardship. People of all ages are welcome. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Great American Cleanup & Tire Roundup

Join Keep Alachua County Beautiful for our annual Great American Cleanup alongside a community Tire Roundup event as residents and volunteers come together to remove litter and beautify areas throughout Gainesville.

Date & Time: Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Community Cleanup: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Tire Drop-Off (rimless tires from standard passenger vehicles only): 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM or until bins are full

For residents only (no businesses)

Limited to a few tires per person

Volunteer Appreciation Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cleanup site assignments and maps will be provided on the day of the event. Groups picking up supplies in advance will receive this information beforehand.
